Philosophy

Helping Mums Get Fit and Strong Again

As a busy mum of two, Laura knows what it's like trying to fit in exercise (and the things you once did for yourself) after having a baby. Which is why she created Project Fit Mum - to make exercising possible for Mums to get back into while being able to bring their baby or children along if they need to.

PFM Canberra is a dedicated group training facility where Mums can safely return to exercise and get back to feeling fit and strong again just like they use to!!! We train hard, cheer each other on and have a few laughs along the way.

A Passion For Helping Others to Feel Their Best

With so much passion for health and fitness, Laura decided in 2013 it was time for a career change and to help others look and feel their best. Soon after, life changed for the better when she fell pregnant and gave birth to her beautiful little boy Jai, now 6 years old.

At the time there were very few options around for Mums to train again after having a baby, and so Project Fit Mum – Canberra’s exclusive Mums and Bubs Group Fitness - was born.

Laura has now been operating PFM for nearly 6 years and has helped HUNDREDS of new Mums to get back to training while building a fun and supportive community.

Going back to a gym environment post-baby felt quite daunting but Laura and the girls are so friendly and welcoming! I leave each class feeling both mentally and physically refreshed. I feel so much stronger already and had quite bad abdominal separation which has significantly reduced since I started PFM. I've realised how much more Mums need to practice self-care! PFM is the perfect place for it.

Love love PFM!! It's been the most amazing sessions, it's hard work but fun and always different. I lost 16kg while training after my first born and am now back after my second child. Would recommend to all the Mums who want to get back into fitness and it's also fun for the kids while mum is sweating like crazy. Thank you Laura, amazing trainer!!!
