Philosophy
Kim's mission is to empower mums with knowledge and awareness around their pre/postnatal bodies and through each stage of life. She is driven to ensure they are building strength, flexibility and fitness through her safe, effective methods.
Becoming a mother can be hard physically and mentally, with many changes occurring inside and outside of the body.
Kim understands the challenges and isolation mums experience and believes through building a community with other mums we can connect, support each other, realise others are experiencing something similar, and not feel alone on our journey.
Experience
Through Kim's personal experience of pelvic pain throughout her pregnancy, as well as mild prolapse several years after having her baby she decided to learn as much as possible to help other mums.
During her pregnancy she was unable to find the right guidance for her pelvic pain, everything made it worse and she was in lots of pain simply from walking! When she embarked upon returning to exercise she was unaware of the right guidelines and could not find the support needed. Without the right guidance she experienced further pelvic floor weakness and mild prolapse through exercise. Both experiences left her feeling lost, confused, helpless and down.
Kim has a background in nursing and decided to compliment this with becoming a personal trainer and further her education in safe pre and postnatal exercise along with women's health so she could share her knowledge and help other mums.
Kim believes many women are suffering postnatal issues, laughing them off as though they’re normal or not talking at all, accepting them as part of becoming a mother.
Kim wants to change this mindset and make a difference to the lives and health of other mums. She doesn't want others to unknowingly cause harm to their bodies or to feel as lost and confused as she did.
Kim's fitness and yoga classes bring education and awareness to the body. She teaches mums to allow time to rebuild strength from the inside out, to build a strong foundation first, and then progress when ready to reach their goals and become as fit and as strong as they want to be.
In Kim’s classes exercises are always modified, regressed or progressed to suit any age, stage, body, and circumstance.

She mixes it up so every class is different and never boring. Some days I have to push myself to go but enjoy every second and then have bucket loads of energy to get through my day!
