About

Philosophy

Anita believes that all women can empower themselves with the correct guidance to reduce fear and anxiety so they can enjoy pregnancy and transition well into motherhood.

She belives all women deserve to be educated and informed on choices and the importance of the correct prenatal and postnatal care guidelines with exercise while protecting their pelvic floor and bodies from life long complications.

Her fitness programs help women to build strength and exercise safely. They learn about pelvic floor and abdominal muscles and how to activate safely to carry their baby well and reduce complications. Many report their pregnancies have felt easier, and their birth experiences more positive, with reduced need for analgesia, experiencing a smoother recovery period.

Anita monitors their post birth journey closely, teaching them how to return to exercise safely while creating a positive mindset and providing them with a supportive community.

Anita also draws on her own experience as a mother and found her second birth to be the hardest. By going through her own journey she knew she wanted to do more for women around post birth education.

Experience

Anita is the proud owner and founder of Fit For 2 – Total Pregnancy Fitness and Fit For 2 PRO her new online educational programs for pregnant and post birth mums.

Alongside being a Personal Trainer Anita holds the unique combination of also being a registered midwife and nurse with over 12 years’ experience. She also has two gorgeous kids Nicco and Alex.

Anita works with conceiving, pregnant and post birth women to ensure they exercise safely by protecting their pelvic floor and abdominals.

She believes all women should have the chance to be educated and exercise safely in this special time in their life.

Anita has seen many women as a Midwife struggle throughout pregnancy and postnatally due to obesity, diabetes, poor fitness, long labours and poor post birth recovery, which has often lead to incontinence and increased abdominal separation which could have been avoided with the right support. These outcomes made her realise that women need help, they need to be educated, and they need someone to trust and this is why Fit For 2 and Fit For 2 PRO were created to help as many women to have a positive experience during their pregnancy and post birth journey.

I can’t recommend the Fit For 2 program with Anita highly enough for ladies at any stage in their pregnancy and beyond. I found Fit For 2 via word of mouth from a friend who had tried and also loved the program during her pregnancy. I was an avid gym goer pre pregnancy and wanted to maintain my fitness safely during and this program was perfect. With Anita being a midwife herself you could trust that all the movements were safe but still would give you a challenge. It also was extra handy when you had questions about any aches, pains or any pregnancy related questions in general that I as a first time mumma, had plenty of.

I was, as most ladies are, worried about my pelvic floor and staying healthy while pregnant as I was aware that it was important for recovery post birth. Anita not only teaches you techniques during classes but provided heaps of online education and resources that covered any and all queries you could think of. She also introduced me to the world of Doterra essential oils and taught me how they can help in during all stages of pregnancy including labour.

I recently attended the Easy Birth Preparation Workshop, lead by foFit for 2 midwife and trainer, Anita and TCM Dr. Julia Bartop. And it delivered! 🙌 Although being my second pregnancy, I felt I needed to be better informed and more empowered for labour and the birth of my baby. I thought I would just 'go with the flow' with my first labour. Thankfully, it was not a complicated birth but ended not in my ideal scenario even though labour is full of surprises. I felt voiceless and didn't know my rights, breathing and position options and how to prepare myself both physically and mentally. After attending the workshop, I felt empowered and more informed of my rights and how to prepare my mind and body for birth and beyond. I now have more confidence within myself and less anxiety leading into this labour. I know leading into labour that I need to be open minded, open hearted with the safety of myself and my baby as paramount.

The course covered accupressure, which I can't wait to practise in preparation for and during labour, optimal birthing positons and breathing, relaxation techniques, essential oils and breastfeeding. It was also delivered in a relaxed manner and encouraged lots of conversation.
I couldn't recommend this course more highly for expectant parents. Thanks, Anita and Julia! You ladies are amazing! 💞

Cannot recommend Fit for 2 more! Not only am I so much stronger and prepared this time round. But to have Anita’s support and knowledge has been beyond amazing! At around 19 weeks this time I found myself unable to walk due to extreme pelvic pain and this was just unacceptable with a 3 year old to look after. Anita suggested I trial some src compression shortS for a week and see if it would help. After a few days I had such a remarkable difference in function and pain that I ordered straight away. Have not looked back!

Fit For 2 has been a worthwhile investment for my physical and mental health during my pregnancy. As a first time mum-to-be, I was lost on exercises to do and worried on aggravating my existing health condition. Since training with Fit For 2, I am confident on doing the exercises safely, feel stronger and stable in my pelvic area (I can feel it when doing housework) and it has helped me to manage my overall health during this time.
