About

Philosophy

Terrie is a Mother of five very active children from the ages of 16 to 7 years and knows how demanding life can be on a daily basis. Terrie strongly believes that in order to implement health and wellness into our children, we as parents, must lead by EXAMPLE.

Terrie is also passionate about empowering Mothers to give back to themselves as much as they give to their families.

Experience

Terrie has been actively training for over 7 years in a variety of gyms around South East Melbourne, since her youngest was born. Not for the purpose of losing weight but more for her mental health and wellbeing.

Terrie recalls a time she experienced when she got the all clear from her 6 week postnatal check up to return to exercise by her maternal nurse. With the lack of education and guidance from her Medical professionals, at the time, she joined a Fitness Class the very next day. A few repetitions into her reverse crunches she felt immense pain in her lower back and pelvic area and was unable to walk for 5 days.

Fast forward to 7 years, Terrie is now a qualified personal trainer, and an Accredited Safe Return to Exercise and a MumSafe coach on the mission to train and educate other Mothers, like her, to make sure they don’t make the same mistake as she did 6 weeks postnatal.

Terrie is also coaching at a bootcamp gym in Hallam, and has been for almost 3 years. She hopes to support Mothers throughout their journey to becoming confident and strong in their bodies and lead as an example for their children.

I’d get so overwhelmed with all the information out there on safe ways to exercise with ab separation that I just settled for walking. That is, until Terrie came into my life. She’s a trained professional whose purpose is to help Mamas out there, just like me; overwhelmed with all the information and not knowing where to start or what to do to bounce back. Terrie was so helpful, in not only breaking things down for me but showing me ways to exercise safely to heal. I felt a difference almost immediately with the concentrated exercises given to me.
